Coaching for Weight Loss

Developing habits can be tough, and for anyone who has struggled with weight loss and fitness, developing a method for healthy eating and behaviors that is actually sustainable is key. Having a person in your corner who is helping you to be consistent and problem solve long term issues is really key!

We look at coaching for weight loss and a journey that we get to work on together. First, we need to think about what has and has not worked well for you in the past and why. Then we need to look at what are your goals and how you would like to achieve them. Making realistic goals is actually pretty difficult for most people. Then developing timelines and milestones is part of the process of setting you up for success.

We are not physicians – so we do not provide medical treatment, but we often work side by side your doctor or nutritionist to be sure we are all on the same page. And if you need a specialist, we will help you find one that is the right fit.

Stop all the gimmick diets and fads – let us help you make long term, sustainable changes.

Did you know that serotonin boosts your mood and that exercise boosts your serotonin? Yep, sometimes it is handy to have a mental health provider also be a coach. We are great at helping develop goals that allow you to achieve success and see results. Weight management and fitness are critical to our long-term health issues, and obesity is a huge multiplier of medical issues – especially as we age.

Let us work with you to meet your fitness and health goals as a collaborative coach.

What sort of things can we do with you as a weight coach? Well for starters, we often work with a team approach, including physicians, nutritionists, and personal trainers. We focus on the development of strong personal habits, positive self-talk, resilience and stress hardiness. We want you to succeed, and we will do everything we can to help you achieve healthy weight loss goals.

We also will work on our clinical side of our practice with issues like eating disorders, so you can see the difference between coaching and clinical work here.
